The First Cast Radio Show is proud to be the #1 fishing related radio show in the beautiful Canadian Maritimes. Our shows air locally every Saturday and Sunday morning on both CKBW and HANKFM, from the beginning of April through to the end of September each season. They also stream live on www.ckbw.ca and www.hankfm.ca and of course you can listen to our shows here on this website any time you wish to after they air. Show times are approximately 7:20 AM each Saturday and 9:15 AM each Sunday morning following the weather on CKBW; on HANKFM they air approximately 6:20 AM each Saturday and 8:15 AM each Sunday morning. CKBW serves the southern half of Nova Scotia through 98.1 FM, 94.5 FM Queens County and 93.1 FM Shelburne County. CKBW, the BEST Variety! HANKFM airs on the South Shore of Nova Scotia at 100.7 FM. HANKFMK, the South Shore's source for all things country!

At the First Cast we cover our local fisheries, news, tournaments and all things fishing along the South Shore. We also feature select interviews with fishery officials, NGO's, members of our local clubs covering all species, various guests sharing information to help us fish better and safer plus weekly profiles of our youth anglers along the South Shore.
